Mmm, cake. If you have a sweet tooth, this quick and easy mug cake will definitely hit the spot.
Prep time: 5 mins
Bake time: 90 seconds
- 2 ½ tbsp plain flour
- 1 ½ tbsp cocoa powder
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- 1 ½ tbsp sugar (or 2 tbsp if you like it a little sweeter)
- Pinch of salt
- 70ml milk
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
- Whisk in the milk and the vegetable oil until the mixture is smooth.
- Pour into a large mug.
- Microwave on full power for 90 seconds (based on a 850w microwave – you may need to adjust the cooking time slightly depending on your microwave)
Tip: To make this mug cake even more indulgent, you could add a spoonful of chocolate spread or even peanut butter to the mug just before microwaving.
